After a recent upgrade to One UI 8.0, programs within Secure Folder cannot access files also within Secure Folder.
In particular, the Secure Folder versions of Snapseed (photo editing), Protonmail, and Discord cannot find secured files. Google photos, and Samsung Gallery seem unaffected.
Any help?

Samsung Apps and ServicesI agree. Pixel's "secure folder" is bull **bleep**, with its 4 digit pin

Samsung Apps and ServicesWhat is bad about it? Looking at comparison videos they seem functionally the same.
I'm seriously thinking about jumping ship after nearly 14 years to a Pixel.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI have only seen videos of Google Private Space but it appears to be clunkier than Samsung Secure Folder. The Secure folder appears like it has its own separate environment of file storage and apps. It also supports multiple Google addresses, creation of app folders, has its own settings, allows moving files between the phone and secure folder, and can be backed up and restored; almost like a phone within a phone. Private Spaces seems is visible at the bottom of the App Drawer and cannot do some of the things listed above.
However, if the secure folder bug is not fixed, it is totally worthless if you use it for apps that need to open and save files in the secure folder.

Samsung Apps and ServicesGot the December update for my S23 Ultra and this bug still persists. Looks like Samsung is not serious about fixing this issue, whether it is theirs or Google's, despite it being reported as a bug in the Members app.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI fired up my S20 series phone which doesn't have this bug. The S23 Ultra is a nice shiny paperweight until it gets fixed. I still believe Secure Folder is worth buying Samsung phones for, as long as they don't hamstring it for good.

Samsung Apps and ServicesThis is poor form, Samsung. You flaunt a security feature that people like us drop a lot of money on your phones for, and then force us to use our phones in an insecure fashion (i.e. move files out of the secure folder so we can access it from apps within the secure folder).
Please release an ETA when this issue will be addressed, or a proper statement explaining why apps inside the secure folder can't access files inside the secure folder.
This is not the experience your customers have paid for. And you know it.
