Description:
Since recent updates, Samsung Wallet (v6.2.73, updated Nov 10, 2025) stays stuck on the fingerprint verification screen. The scan completes visually, but the app never proceeds to the dashboard or home screen.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Samsung Wallet
- Attempt fingerprint login
- App remains frozen on โScan your fingerprint to verify your identity.โ
Expected result:
Successful authentication and app access.
Actual result:
App stays on fingerprint screen indefinitely.
Troubleshooting attempted:
- Cleared cache and data
- Uninstalled/reinstalled
- Rebooted device
- Tested on Wi-Fi and mobile data
Device info:
- Samsung Galaxy S21
- Android 14
- USA region
Notes:
This issue has persisted across multiple app updates. Please investigate potential biometric loop or authentication timeout bug.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI'm having the same issue with my S24FE and the latest update from Jan 2026.
Wallet version 6.4.30
When opening wallet from the lock screen, swipe from the bottom, the card appears, then the whole phone freezes up.
After a few seconds you are then able to lock the phone, then unlock, and only then maybe you get the popup about the app being frozen and the option to close, wait...
Then once closing from there, the app will work again.
Also done all the clearing of cache and everything as above, no luck, still happens.
Any way to revert back to a previous version?
