The Samsung keyboard app has the nifty layout feature of a ".com" button that appears in some contexts. Whether or not it is useful is debatable, I would argue not because how often do I need to type ".com" versus common words like "the" or "help" or "what" or "arrrrgh".
The .com button and context-specific-keyboard features are maddening to many users, as evidenced by the many forum posts around the internet asking how to turn them off and otherwise expressing frustration.
The .com button makes the keyboard layout awkward for the right-handed, especially on a tablet in landscape mode, since the space bar shrinks to the left just out of reach of where you're used to hitting it with your thumb. In the current iteration the ":" appears where the end of the space bar should be.
Having this button even when typing in a location bar isn't very useful. It hasn't been just a location bar in many years, it is always a search+location bar. So now we're searching for things like "how:do:I.com:disable:the:stupid:.com.com: button".
Could you please please please make it possible to disable keyboard switching so we have the option of a keyboard that does not change in different contexts? There are many of us who touch-type, and having the keyboard change under our fingers renders us idiots.
Additionally, for those who like a context-switching keyboards, please provide a setting to turn off the ".com" button wherever it would otherwise appear.
