Samsung Apps and ServicesHey Parsons, you realy are a paid Google influencer, aren't you. Any time day or night on this form someone says something against Google here you are demanding links. Just like Google demands everything since deregulation of the internet. Some things need to be regulated to keep corrupt corporations like Google from taking over. I bet you can't take a step forward or even think without asking googles's permission first. Don't hand me back your **bleep** that the link I put down wasn't from samsung. I see countless people on this forum fed up Google messages and thier personal information (for you this would be called data) being sucked up and sold to the highest bidder. The internet used to be a free and open source for the expression of ideas and helping others. But now we have Google and their brown shirts controlling and demanding every aspect of the internet. Must be why European countries are fighting back and all the class action law suites being won in court against Google. Watch this, Google, samsung. I typed them both lower case. Wake up samsung!

Samsung Apps and ServicesI am simply a tech enthusiast who enjoys helping people.
I understand your concern about Google's data collection practices. If this is a major issue for you, I would recommend against purchasing products from Samsung or Google and instead purchasing products that do not require Google Services to function properly.
As to why I am requesting links from official sources:
Spreading misinformation, intentionally or not, is a violation of community guidelines, so if you are going to make fact-based claims, you should be able to back them up with official sources. This should be a non-issue if your claims are correct.
As to the link you shared: Sammyguru is not an official Samsung source (as you have already acknowledged) and the visual facelift does not indicate extended RCS support.
I have no idea why there is a visual refresh in 8.5. Frankly, I find Samsung's approach to this confusing but I would venture to guess it is a result of continued support in regions like Korea where the RCS infrastructure does exist (Unlike the US where carriers have largely transitioned to Jibe, which currently requires Google Messages) and was just ported into the US release along with the rest of the visual updates.

Samsung Apps and ServicesIsn't it interesting how if anyone dares to defend Samsung or their programming choices, or even says something nice about Samsung, automatically becomes a "fanboi" or a paid shill for Samsung. Even if that were true, there's nothing wrong with being a fan, there's nothing wrong with being paid by Samsung. Do they expect no Samsung employees to be here (although they are clearly designated as such when they are). Many of the users here already think this forum is a direct line to Samsung.
If they really hate Samsung so much, why are they buying Samsung products?

Samsung Apps and ServicesI would love to be paid for sharing my thoughts and opinions about the products I purchase, use, and enjoy, but that isn't an opportunity that has presented itself, nor would I really expect it to.
I'll just take the insult as a compliment. At the very least, it means I am consistent and professional enough that someone thinks it's my job!

Samsung Apps and ServicesI said RCS is still working and never stopped.
So you just admitted that RCS is working on Samsung messages via carrier. Which is good Correct?
Also your link doesn't say anything about discontinuing of Samsung messages.
It's still available. And you simply check that on galaxy store. and chat features is on. So again. Till now Samsung messages is available with RCS.

Samsung Apps and ServicesThe issue is that it is potentially misleading to consistently tell users that "RCS never stopped working" when it is not universally true. Most carriers have transitioned to Jibe.
Even if you were/are able to produce some workaround to re-enable RCS in Samsung Messages, the fact remains that doing so is contrary to official guidance.
