My Samsung Messages app keeps closing. I've restarted my phone multiple times. I've gone to Settings > App Settings > Messages > Storage and hit Clear cache and Clear data. When I do this, the space used for cache and data go down to 0, but then immediately go back up to the original storage amounts when I reopen Messages.
I found a previous conversation about Messages crashing in Dec 2023 and tried following the instructions but when I held down the power button and volume up with the phone turned off, the phone restarted as normal, even though I held them down until after the Samsung logo disappeared.
If I can't fix it, can I install a different app for
My Google storage is 94% full. Could that be connected?
I disabled the Google meet app and I can text now, but it's sending as a regular text instead of where you can see if the recipient has read it or not.
Message app crashing on Samsung S21 FE about ~5 seconds after opening any conversation thread. Issues started today before update. Persisted after the update. Clearing cache does not fix issue and issue still persists in Safe mode.
Yes since about 9am today (5hrs ago) no ability to message out using Samsung messages. Can receive messages and can call out and receive calls. Have rebooted, have cleared cache and NOTHING. Got new updated 25 April so not sure why it's suddenly crashed. HELP!
Same problem, started before I installed update, checked for updates installed updat didn't fix problem. Also tried clearing cache and data, that also didn't work.
