Those percentages are way off. This kind of error is putting people's health at risk and therefore unacceptable.

Hi there, thanks for pointing this out. Most of the time, “incorrect calculations” happen because of rounding rules or app settings, not the actual formula.

For example, if your bill is $125.50 and the tip is 15%, then:
Tip = $18.83 (125.50 × 0.15 = 18.825 → rounded to 18.83)
Total = $144.33

If your app shows something different, it could be due to:

  1. Different rounding preferences (to the nearest dollar or cent)

  2. Incorrect regional or decimal settings

  3. A small app bug or cached data

You can try closing and reopening the app, clearing the cache, and checking Settings → Region/Locale.
