Samsung Apps and ServicesThat said, you likely have a carrier locked device. Carriers, not Samsung, install unwanted apps alongside updates. This is called "bloatware" and is a way for carriers to make money while selling devices at subsidized prices.
You can remove these apps by long pressing on the app, pressing select, choosing all unwanted apps, and then pressing "remove" at the top of the screen.
In the future, you can quickly backup and restore home screen layouts using Samsung's HomeUp app. Home Up: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.app.homestar
