Just an observation for business and productivity: The biggest downfall for Android and Samsung is the constant changes made to productivity apps and workflow. Almost every time there's an update, especially a big one, nothing works with the workflow and processes you established after the last update. Things like spell check when using an external keyboard suddenly not working, or DeX completely changed and downgraded, or Messenger functionality taken away, or Reminders changed and downgraded, or even worse issues like mouse functionality downgraded. All of these things and more make it impossible for Android and Samsung to take root in business productivity and workflow. They must stop this nonsense of sunsetting all these important things and be consistent with their changes. I have tried for more than a decade to make this work, but I am weary of all this!

Samsung Apps and ServicesTo the best of my knowledge, Facebook Messenger hasn't lost any functionality. If it did, that would be a Meta problem.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI think he is referring to Samsung Messages. To some people messages and messenger are the same thing.

Samsung Apps and ServicesAs with any software update on any computing device, it is incumbent on the app developers to update their apps to be compatible with the new operating system updates. Samsung is not doing very much in general (update or no update) to keep their messaging app viable, although I have heard rumblings that they are making some improvements in OneUI 8.5. Going forward, if you want business productivity for messages, you will need to switch to Google Messages for the RCS capabilities and universal carrier support. All things related to the Android operating system is Google's responsibility, all things related to the functionality of OneUI is on Samsung. All things related to apps not developed by either entity is on the developer of those apps.
As for "stopping the nonsense" of sunsetting things - both entities have to right to continue or discontinue apps, services or functionality as they see fit. If they determine not to have a duplication of effort of things that are already out there that serve the same purpose, they are not going to continue wasting resources on it. Samsung messages being one example. If Google Messages is going to be the new standard going forward and the carriers are all on board with Google's RCS version and it has compatibility with Apple users, Samsung is not going to waste the effort to make improvements to Samsung Messages. If one can get reminders from their calendars, Alexa or by other means, why is a separate reminder app even necessary. However, I don't see anything at all wrong with Samsung's reminder app in its current incarnation. Different doesn't mean downgraded.
