Feedback on the crazy annoying things with UI 8!

I don't understand what you guys are doing with these UI updates with these pesky little (dumb) changes! Honestly - notification list for one! This "separate or together" in PANEL SETTINGS a hard to locate thing REALLY?! And worse IT DOESN'T WORK AS INTENDED. For example.... I have the app ColorNote that I've got several PINNED notes for my drop-down notification list that listed each one that I frequently access.... okay fine, it makes sense to group them and I kinda like it, but when I tap to look at the full list it only shows 8 out of the 12 I've got pinned that's always been available for well over a decade UNTIL your UI 8 update! ColorNote hasn't had an update since June 30th 2025 so it ain't them it's YOU SAMSUNG. So I emailed them that, like you and everyone else, too busy to return all tech supports and I am a paid user, but I'm urging them to respond so they can update their app to coincide with UI 8. I don't even know if it's their responsibility or not - either way I'm stuck with this BUG. 

There's other pesky little things I'm noticing... This one is old but why is it that I'm Gallery or you photo edit always shrinks the image to then pen write or whatever so small it's impossible. .. Like why can't it remain the same size to comfortably edit? I'm so tired right now I can't think of the other pesky things I happened to run up to. Oh oh it's the drop-down notification list - it's not as sensitive as it used to be. I'm swiping from center and can't separate from the N. list to the what you call the short/long setting menu... I'm just frustrated swiping to go from the notification list that I didn't want you see and vice versa. Also, when I was hanging up from a call I go the drop-down menu to look for the line for the call to hangup however it's not there and again I'm swiping to find it and learned you changed to a swipe left or right to change pages now?!? And with the swipe pages now I'm swiping and accidentally deleting notifications from me I list without any way to "undo" like many things nowadays.

My goodness I didn't see where any of these things are explained and I check the details on all l updates some of which are redundant and don't exist like the AI stuff. The AI stuff has ON OFF slide buttons but I SEE nothing to do.

I don't know if I'm explaining it right. But it seems as if you rolled out some things too fast and they aren't working right, geesh. And yes I've rebooted uninstalled and reinstalled and the caches etc. They are bugs or worse maybe.

They stopped persistant notifications with OneUI7. Now, when you clear your notifications, everything clears. To keep a notification persistent, you have do download GoodLock's Notistar and, in the settings, choose "set app unable to clear notifications" and choose ColorNote and any other app you don't want the notification to clear when you tap the clear option. You will still be able to swipe individual notifications from those apps away.

What's wrong with just opening your app?

Unfortunately, that option was removed from notistar in the update today (10-2-25)

What version? I guess mine hasn't updated yet. I do not have the OneUI8 update yet. I'm going to be quite upset if they removed it.

Must be a OneUI8 issue then, thats what I'm on and it disappeared after the Notistar update

Yup I hear you . There's a few things that have worked so well for me that have been, in my opinion, needlessly moved to crazy places, or removed altogether. Like the top swipe down from straight down from anywhere in order (notification then a second swipe for the other stuff) to now from either left corner or right corner! My GOODNESS! And yet they've left the app list alone - swipe from the bottom straight up from anywhere! So what's the point? This is old but moving search bars and other things to the bottom of the screen from the top. I mean I bet you 90+% of the population subconsciously or intuitively LOOK AT THE TOP not the bottom. Maybe it's just me but those things are petty. How about putting the cursor automatically in a bar as soon as you open it instead of ANOTHER tap. Now that makes people's lives easier. Some of Samsung's changes are adding more taps and swipes than reducing.
A good example is to compare Google search and Chrome, even Google Play as compared with opening Duck Duck Go - as soon as you click on their icon the cursor is right there with keypad right on the screen.

Google Play moved their search bar from top to bottom, BUT YET in order to type in your search criteria that bar is on the top!?? My goodness, and you still have up give it another tap to get the cursor AND keypad up. Oh boy it's picky I'm sure others are thinking but what I have to say to them is about paying attention and not just accepting things as they are and try to fight for having things correct (and yes I do know it's an uphill battle... These companies are so far removed from the actual playing field, but that has NEVER deterred me from trying). Also I'm far less calm, and accepting (of certain things), and change IS good (thoughtful changes) than most people think I am.

I'm so busy and rely heavily on my cellphone for everything all day every day. So when the dictionaries on Gboard or Samsung keyboard is terrible yes I get very frustrated it makes things take so much longer for me it's incredible. I have no laptop, no desktop, and no tablet. I use my cellphone for everything and it used to be great no issues until I don't know maybe the last 2 years. Can't recall exactly. Y'all can say go out buy yourself those things easy for you to say besides which I'm an android guy so those same issues go to a larger screen 😊😊. Laptop Windows OMG I haven't seen Windows since 2010 maybe, I'm sure it's great but not only is to more than I can afford I don't have the time to relearn to be efficient and I would absolutely have to be efficient otherwise what's the point.

Google Docs I moved to recently from Word documents and boy of boy is that a mess!

I've had notostar but I'm not using it because it's an add-on that I found to much and I just deleted thinking it was interfering. Haven't tested it yet I before I come here I've e exhausted many things. I am so grateful that God lock was pointed out by you guys several months back so I'm always checking there for the l new stuff. I like good lock very much. I dislike Samsung making petty changes! Like the swipe left or right at the top BUT keep the swipe from the middle at the bottom for the apps! Makes no sense
Now I'm swiping several times at the top to get notifications, the other list, and then the settings I mean it keeps messing up so now it's way more work and frustrating! That was a REALLY dumb move!
