[Feature Request] Option to Open Apps in Pop-Up View by default from Edge Panel's Apps Panel

Edge Panel's Apps Panel offers the option to open apps in Split Screen by simply touching it.

I miss the option to quickly open apps in Pop-Up View from this panel with a simple touch as well.

In fact, I almost always want to open my Edge Panel apps in Pop-Up View but there's no configuration that allows me to set this as the default behaviour.

I know that you can drag & drop but I would love to do it by only touching it.

@samuelfe Actually, if you long press and drag the item from the Edge pane to the middle of the screen, you will see that it opens up in a pop up.

There is a reason they are called edge panels.

They slide out from the edge and remain visible and usable, then slide back out of the way. They are not called pop up panels. If you want your app in popup view, oncr the app is open, go to the task changer, tap the icon on the app and select open in pop up view.

I misunderstood your post. I thought you were asking for the edge panels themselves to pop up. There does not appear to be a way to permanantly make any app open in pop up view by default, whether it's on the edge panel or not. The only way I found is once the app is opened, go to the task changer and select open in pop-up view.

That's okay. I made the post more clear now, I think. And yeah, there's no option implemented for this and I catch myself desiring it every day 🙂
