Is it possible to disable Wi-Fi Calling over my home network that uses Starlink? I was hoping to achieve this using a routine, but I see no options to select turning it off for a specific network.

Starlink is acceptable for most internet connectivity and streaming services, but it encounters problems when using Wi-Fi VOIP since buffering is nominal and not fast and consistent enough for voice communications. I have many trees in the national park where my home network is connected, and my calls often drop off and on when satellites pass in front of them.

I only encounter this at my home standard dish in the national forest and have success using Wi-fi on my mini dish, when I am roaming and have no obstructions. Thanks

I believe setting up a routine by selecting WiFi, then WiFi network and ensuring the network name option is selected would give you the result you need.

Update: Just realized the action is not supported. Please provide feedback to developers instead of posting here.1767446758738.jpg

It does not appear that you can turn wi-fi calling off directly via a routine. You can possibly create a routine utilizing a touch macro, where it will automatically open the settings/connections and turn off wi-fi calling.  You will have to download Good Lock's Routines+, and then set up the routine and macro. You will have to first record the macro within the routine, save it and then choose it.  Ignore my typo of the macro name in my screen shot, but it should give you some idea. The routine should reverse itself when  you move out of network range, but you may need to play around with the end routine settings or add additional or create a second routine to reverse it. There actually is a quick panel toggle to turn it on/off quickly.  If you don't see it, you can edit the quick panel to add it.  It's likely easier to use the quick panel toggle than set up the routine, but do what's easiest and most convenient for you.

Using the quick panel to turn the VOIP on and off is a good suggestion, but the only problem with it is that once the call is initiated, you cannot disable it. Thanks for the response.

You can't do it while a call is in progress. My suggestion was to turn it off as soon as you are connected to the network in question and turn it back on when not. Hence, the suggestion for a routine incorporating the touch macro.
