Edit Workouts in Samsung Health

It seems that there remains little ability to edit a workout after the fact. With the advancement of wearables and AI guided interpretation of workout data, what is the justification for no longer allowing this?

Use case: a treadmill workout in Samsung health records duration, heart rate from the wearable, and the number of steps. Why can't you then edit the workout to add total miles, incline, or other data?

It appears that you can crop the workout, but no additional edits or additions can be made. You can also add a manual workout, however then the miles that you enter will duplicate the steps and calories.

It seems that the only workaround is to completely avoid using the wearables technology to monitor work out data, and simply always enter treadmill workouts manually. But then you lose heart rate data.

Can anybody help me understand why such a basic feature doesn't seem to be available? And if I'm missing it, why is it so difficult to find?
