Can’t disable SmartThings Quick Remote

There is an on/off button to enable the “quick remote” feature of the SmartThings app.  I do not want to use it but when I switch the radio button to “off” it automatically switches back to “on”.

What gives?

Try clearing the app cache, updating the app, or checking for any automation settings that might be overriding your preference.
