Samsung 8K tv and ps5 pro issues

I just bought a ps5 pro yesterday and my Samsung Q900R 8K tv is apparently not compatible with the ps5 pro. I’ve read some reasons as to why but I would really appreciate some feedback on to why it’s not compatible and if there’s anything I can do to make sure it is compatible or if it will be compatible in the future.

I did a little research into ps5 pro. No place does play station say ps5 pro can run 8K. From what they are saying it's 4k @ 60 fps and up to 120fps.

Nope there’s 8K modes on a few games now.  Is it truly 8K probably not.  But the modes exist and in the ps5 pro settings there’s 8K detection and mine fails to recognize it

I'll say it again Play Station 5 pro States plainly 4K support, no where does it say 8K support. Maybe ps6 and 6 pro will support 8k.

Oh, I missed that ONE LINE SAYS 8k gaming support and every else says 4K TV gaming.This is a play station problem. Sony owns play station and is not a Samsung Electronics product.

As he says if your 8k tv does not support DSC, Display Screen Compression your out of luck.

On my one connect box one of my ports supports HDMI 2.1.  So idk about the DSC part.

Q900R does not support DSC is what another owner said. 8K 60Hz 4.2.2 requires 43.691 Gbps, so DSC is required.

ABT electronics just confirmed my tv is too old for the ps5 pro 8K technology.  Such a joke

Actually I talked to Samsung just now and they said they would need to update the software on the TV but seems unlikely because it’s an older model but I think the actual TV is capable tho
