Anyone have this same issue in their q80a 65 inch? During dark scenes it’s very cloudy at the top of the tv.

Hello! If this is occurring on all sources and during the picture test this will require service you have a couple of options based on your warranty.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

is this a known issue with the q80's?

The joys of having a back or edge lit TV. If your TV has a pixel refresh feature try that. If not try some pixel refresh videos on YouTube. Also try lowering the brightness. None of this will get rid of it but it may help.

Is there the same issue with the qn85.  Might just bring this thing back and get the higher model.  hate to spend all this money on a tv and have an issue with the picture quality.

All back or edge lit TV's, regardless of brand or model, are prone to having uneven pictures, edge bleed, clouding, etc. Look into getting an OLED if you want the best picture.

You got your answer from Caleb. If the problem appears on all sources and with the picture test then it's broke. Otherwise "consider the source".

No it's not a picture quality issue with the Model you bought. It's broke.

And no, not all edge-lit or backlit TVs are prone to such. Yours is broke.

I figured that.  I only stream so my source is the TV.  Im within my 30 days of purchasing it so Im just going to bring it back.  I was thinking about getting the sony x90j.  Ive read that it doesnt have the clouding issue like the samsung.
