QLED and The Frame TVsI have never been more disappointed with a purchase in my life. I spent a fortune on an 85-inch Samsung QN85A, expecting premium quality and longevity, only to be left with a dark rectangular spot in the top-middle of the screen that makes watching anything unbearable. The worst part? This happened immediately after my two-year warranty expired from Best Buy, almost like clockwork.
Naturally, I reached out to Samsung support, who initially told me they’d make an exception and cover the cost of the repair. Great, right? Wrong. They passed me off to a third-party repair company, which was nothing short of a scam. These so-called “technicians” demanded THOUSANDS of dollars just to take the TV in for “analysis.” Analysis? At that price, I should be getting a brand-new TV! And despite Samsung’s supposed commitment to covering the cost, the repair company kept closing out the ticket, forcing me to start the exhausting process over and over again. I eventually just gave up.
At this point, I’ve given up. I shouldn’t have to beg a multibillion-dollar corporation to stand by its products. What’s worse is that I didn’t just buy one Samsung TV—I outfitted my entire home with seven Samsung TVs because I believed in the brand. This 85” was the largest and most expensive of them all, and now it’s a $3,500+ paperweight.
Samsung has lost a loyal customer. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again. Buyer beware—if you’re considering investing in a high-end Samsung TV, don’t. When it inevitably fails, you’ll be left with nothing but frustration, corporate runarounds, and an expensive piece of junk.
