t7 shows up as only 15mb...

hello,

i got an issue with a Samsung Portable SSD T7 (500gb, FW : FXG42P2Q_2003) it only shows up as having 15mb. with the samsung software (SamsungPortableSSD_1.0) it does show 500gb but with 0 gb free. it is not password protected: the samsung software does not show it as protected and also i can enable password protection (and disable it again). any idea what the problem is?

Is it brand new and never been used? I would try formatting it.

thanks: it has been used (by me). i can format it but does not change the (small) size... tried on my mac and on a pc.

You may have to repartition the drive to show its full size

Secure wipe the drive and then partition it.
