Monitors and MemoryI've encountered a recurring issue with my Thunderbolt-enabled monitor. Periodically, the monitor connected directly to my laptop will display a "Thunderbolt 4/USB-C" message or the standard display menu, and these overlays remain stuck on the screen. The issue persists across different configurations, including using USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, and daisy chaining multiple monitors. Unplugging the monitor is the only way to resolve it temporarily, as the menu becomes inaccessible when this occurs.
After testing with multiple laptops and configurations, the issue remains consistent. Other users have reported the same problem, indicating it's not an isolated case. However, no firmware updates are available to address this, and the current suggested solutions fail to provide a lasting fix or is super cumbersome! A reliable update or alternative resolution from the manufacturer is needed to resolve this ongoing problem.
My Model: S27B80T
BTW. I have to models of this type and both have this issue. Clearly a firmware isse in my view.
