Hi everyone, I just bought a Samsung Smart Monitor M8 (model LS32BM801UCXXK) and Iโ€™m having issues with the SlimFit camera.

The camera works with the SmartThings app (I can see the feed when the monitor is off), but it doesnโ€™t show up in โ€œConnected Devices โ†’ Sourcesโ€ or in apps like Google Meet. My current firmware is version 1030, and when I check for updates, it says no updates available.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Did a firmware update fix it for you?

Thanks!

Do you have a type C USB connection from the computer to your monitor?

I havenโ€™t connected any PC to the monitor. I opened Meet directly from the monitorโ€™s browser.

The original problem is that the monitor doesnโ€™t detect the camera under the โ€œConnected devicesโ€ section.

I thought there might be an issue with the magnets, but since the camera works remotely, I want to believe the problem is with the monitorโ€™s software, although Iโ€™m not completely sure.

I'm also facing the same issue. The camera is detected when directly plugged into other devices.

But the monitor is not recognizing it. I tried using the adaptor and normal USB (the normal USB connection works in other devices)

I spoke with Samsung technical support. They even assisted me through a video call, but it couldnโ€™t be fixed. They told me I had to take the monitor to a Samsung service center so they could check it.
