Monitors and MemoryHello all, I am using my friend's monitor for the summer: the 32" Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD). Link
Unfortunately, he left his power cord in storage and Samsung support said they do not have any. Thus, I needed to buy a 24v 7.5a power cord, which came, but had a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel size. Now, I need to buy a barrel adapter for my charger. There is little to no information on the barrel size of this monitor, and I was wondering if anyone has a clue?

Monitors and MemoryEvery OEM and replacement listing for that adapter specifies the same DC plug dimensions:
Outer diameter (OD): 7.4 mm
Inner diameter (ID): 5.0 mm
Center-pin: none (plain hollow barrel)
So the jack on the back of the monitor expects a 7.4 × 5.0 mm barrel plug, which is considerably larger than the 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug that arrived with your generic 24 V supply.
What to buy
Simplest – pick up an inexpensive “5.5 × 2.1 mm male → 7.4 × 5.0 mm female” barrel-size adapter (also sold as “7.4 mm OD / 5.0 mm ID coupler”).
If you prefer fewer joints, order a 7.4 × 5.0 mm DC cable pigtail and re-terminate your 24 V brick.
Or swap the brick entirely for an OEM-spec BN44-00924A replacement; they’re plentiful on eBay/Amazon and already have the right plug molded on.
Any of those options will mate cleanly with the monitor’s socket and handle the required 180 W load, as long as the adapter or pigtail you choose is rated for at least 10 A at 24 V (they usually are).
That’s all you need—grab the 7.4 × 5.0 mm plug and you’re set.
