Just putting a post on here to go over my experience with the Odyssey G9 monitor so far, and the customer service that came along with it. Bought the G9 new in December for £999, I got a slight discount due to some damage to the box (No internal damage).

I've been using it fairly regularly since then with no issues, however upon turning it on recently discovered a small crack/bulge to the internal LCD Panel (no external damage), along with a line up the screen. My initial thoughts was that something may have popped inside, pushing outwards into the rear of the LCD, causing some damage. Did some more digging and found countless complaints and posts (Including on this forum) all mentioning similar issues and their monitors going "pop".

Raised this to the Service Centre and was told that due to it being LCD damage the warranty was voided. Explained the situation again and was told there is nothing they can do. Queue the chat with a Samsung "expert". I am essentially told that due to my monitor being in direct sunlight, this may have caused the damage to the LCD that I was seeing. Assuming this meant I was covered I queried a repair/replacement- only to be told that there is a line in the manual stating that the monitor should not be placed near direct sunlight/heat and that due to this, my warranty is void.

Requested I be given the complaint email so I can raise my concerns, only to be told I am not allowed it, and that complaint emails are for "internal use only". Was pointed towards a "authorised service centre", only to be told they do not cover my area.

Long story short, if you are looking for a quality, long-lasting monitor within a reputable company, do not buy this monitor.
