I have the two in the same room. They both came with the little white remote, different models but identical in every aspect as far as I could tell.
Being BT remotes I expect the monitors to only recognize the paired remote and sometimes they do just that, but other times both remotes command both monitors. I am aware that they also have IR and the obvious answer would be that there would have been no way save for blocking the IR emitter to stop all devices that are tuned to the same IR codes but as I mentioned above SOMETIMES the devices don't care about the IR at all or the remotes shoot different beams, I really don't know but the former scenario is more plausible. I need this fixed. It is inconvenient in a surprisingly offensive way. The devices are as follows: LS43BM700UUXUF LS28BG702EPXUF FW 1651.1 is installed on the both devices. I'd also give the remote models but there are just so many different numbers and letters and stuff on the back I have no idea which is supposed to be the model. The M7 has a remote that is a tad heavier with a rather faint SAMSUNG branding and the middle button feels smooth to the touch while the G70B has a lighter remote with bold branding and a "stickier" middle button. One might think Samsung should have thought about this situation but apparently not. It's not too late though, just give us the ability to turn off the IR receiver and all will be well.
That's the only solution I could have come up with so far, yet the black tape turned out to be surprisingly permissive of IR radiation. Lining it with a bit of aluminum foil does the job, yet it still permits the IR somehow sometimes and there isn't too wide an area for the tape to adhere. You'd think Samsung being a company wouldn't want such an inconvenience to cause its customers to not buy Samsung as a second device in the same room but they apparently don't care.
