Monitors and Memoryear Samsung Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your guidance regarding connecting my laptop to my Samsung Odyssey G55C monitor to achieve the best possible performance.
My laptop, the ASUS ROG Strix 15, does not have a DisplayPort output. It only supports HDMI. However, I understand that the Odyssey G55C monitor supports its maximum refresh rate of 165Hz at QHD resolution (2560x1440) primarily through its DisplayPort input.
Could you please recommend an appropriate HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter or any other solution that would allow me to utilize the monitor’s full potential? Additionally, I’d appreciate it if you could confirm the specifications required for such an adapter (e.g., active conversion, supported resolutions, refresh rates).
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your recommendation.
Best regards
MohammedZaid S hakim

Monitors and MemoryDepending on which version of Strix 15 you have it sports Thunderbolt port, and Type C charging with DP support. If it truly is only HDMI then you will not get maximum performance from the G55.
Read your User Manuals.
