Monitors and MemoryJust got mine in a couple days ago. Got it all setup. Before I start this I have a very good custom computer. Every time I'm playing a game and I want to change the display or the resolution the monitor turns Black Screen and goes to the connect a device to the display port and starts to countdown to shut off. When I exit a game it does the same thing. Sometimes unplugging the cord from the back of the computer will fix it but half the time the screen stays black " and I still hear what's going on when black screen" I have to hit the switch and reboot the computer. I have been seeing a lot of this online with complains. Some say its the display cord "switch to a hdmi 2.1", some say turn off gsync, some say the recent firmware is making it do this. Hopefully samsung figures this out soon because i really like the monitor when it works.

Monitors and MemoryI wish Samsung would add an option to manually adjust the delay before the screen goes into sleep. I don't have the G9, but my Neo G7 is so eager to get to sleep asap, that I can't even reboot my PC without it being stuck in the black screen. Allowing to change this setting from the 3 seconds it counts down to 10, or maybe even 30, would likely solve a lot of issues. It's my monitor, and my power, and if I want my monitor to just remain on with no signal coming from DP, it should be my call.

Monitors and MemoryRead a lot of comments from different places about this problem. I have it too. Bought the 2024 g95sc oled . What fixed it for me was switching to a 2.1 hdmi cable instead of the display port one. I tried multiple different new display port cables that all still had the same issue. The first new hdmi cable i bought never had the problem. I can run everything with all settings 240hz, hdr, gsync etc.
To be clear i dont think its really the cable itself but probably a bug in the firmware of the monitor that just isnt acting right over display port.
After I switched all the games pop open fast with no black screen, flicker, etc. I even popped in and out of different games at different resolutions over and over to try and get it to trip up but its fine.
hope this is the fix for others.

Monitors and MemorySwitching to 120Hz avoids the black screens for me, as suggested by others.
While it is not a solution (we paid for a 240hz screen), it at least allows me to use it without that frustration.
Please Samsung fix this or provide a refund if you can't, this is the last samsung product i buy if this is not addressed !

Monitors and MemoryWhile the monitor is rated to do 240hz the manual states it's OPTIMAL refresh is 120hz.
From Samsung Manual:
"Read Before Connecting a Computer (Supported Resolutions)
Check the resolutions supported for PC input signals.
When you connect your product to a computer, set the computerās video card to one of the standard resolutions listed in the
tables below or on the next pages. The product will automatically adjust to the resolution you choose. The optimal recommended
resolution is 5120 x 1440 @ 120 Hz when Game Mode is on. Choosing a resolution not included in the tables can result in a blank
screen or just the remote control sensor turning on. Refer to the user manual of your graphics card for compatible resolutions.
" With Input Signal Plus enabled, the optimal resolutions are 3840 x 1080 @ 120 Hz (HDMI) and 5120 x 1440 @ 120 Hz
(DisplayPort).
" With Input Signal Plus disabled, the optimal resolution is 3840 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (HDMI, DisplayPort).
