I purchased 3 G8 OLED SD80 32" monitors last year. I use them in a triple configuration for sim racing. I have used them with a 4080 and now a 5090 all running DP cables.
Since day 1... these monitors exhibit a black flicker... the screen goes black for 1-3s in the middle of racing and its simply unacceptable for a high end product.
#1 I know there are other threads on the topic. They are old, outdated, and have 0 solutions.
#2 It is very clear Samsung are aware of this "defect" in the SD80 and have expedited an SD81 model with documented Gsync support.
#3 Samsung support is a joke. Over the last year I have contacted them multiple times asking for help with this issue. Each time I get transferred to different people, some more helpful than others but ultimately their goal is to tire my patience so I give up and go away.
So, no... I don't care about forum rules.. I don't care about other threads, I don't care about people in the forum saying "its nvidias fault" at the end of the day Samsun rushed a product to market and didn't ensure it was compatible with even the 40x gpu series.
I have waited patiently for a year and I am done. Samsung make this right and recall the SD80s and replace them with SD81s otherwise, if you have posted here let's ensure none of our friends ever buy another Samsung product.

Monitors and MemoryYeah, dealing with this exact same issue. Well documented but no solution offered by Samsung.
