Just got the new 2024 version of the M7 and great for saving space in office.  I can get my laptop screen to show via usb-c connection, BUT I cannot get a keyboard and mouse (connected to the M7 usb-a ports) to work to control the laptop.  If i set usb connection option in settings to Auto or to monitor, they can control the M7, but when i set it to usb-c, they cannot control the laptop.  Any ideas?

Thank you...

@ckellmeyer I found the manual here -> https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?modelCode=LS32DM703UNXZA

I don't see mention that a USB connected mouse to the display will control the PC. In fact I did see a comment that it would control the display only.

However it looks like installation of the Easy Setting Box software might give you that capability.

@ckellmeyer According to this post, it isn't possible. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/How-to-connect-a-USB-to-PC-via-Samsung-M7-mo...

Have you checked the user's manual for your model monitor?

That post was from 2021.  And I am unsuccessful in trying to download a user manual for my model (S32DM703UN) (no typo's there, that's correct model from back of monitor).  In looking around though I cant find any marketing about it being a USB hub unfortunately - shame...

Thank you...
