My samsung tv (S90D) gives me the following error message when I switch inputs to my DVD player:

Check Device Power
(1) Turn on the device, if the power is not turned en, check the cable connection er select the 'Connection Guide' butten to learn how to connect.
(2) Or, press the Connected Devices button below to select a connected source.

I have tried the following:

(1) Two different DVD players (Panasonic and Reavon)
(2) Switching to different HDMI inputs on the TV
(3) Tried different HDMI cables to no avail.

If I switch to another device, such as an XBox or Apple TV, there is no problem.

I've tried toggling some of the Samsung settings (Input signal plus, Quick Media Switching).

I have a Sonos soundbar connected via HDMI to the eARC input.

I feel like I should get a gold star for troubleshooting. šŸ˜€

Any ideas?

Thanks to anyone who cares to offer some advice. I'm baffled.

Think you covered everything there only thing that comes to mind is dirty connection with either the DVD players or for some reason it's not being recognized by the TV as a connection problem is which and how to test theory have you run the TV diagnostic or tried the DVD players on another tv
