Based on community discussion forums and online feedback I've found, there seems to be a recurring issue with the Samsung 65" OLED S95F TV that appears to be affecting many users (myself included).
Within just a few weeks of ownership, the TV begins exhibiting sudden and severe color oversaturation across all sources and inputs. This issue is especially noticeable in facial tones, which appear oversaturated, unnaturally bright, matte, distorted or fake. The behavior is not tied to any one app, HDMI input, or picture mode.
The only temporary fixes I've foundโconsistent with what other S95F owners reportโare:
Power cycling the TV, or
Performing a full factory reset
Unfortunately, both solutions are short-lived. The oversaturation problem eventually returns, suggesting the issue may be firmware-related or a deeper panel/software processing defect.
Given that this appears to be a known and recurring problem among S95F owners, I'm hoping for one of the following:
Samsung will Officially acknowledge this issue
Samsung to provide guidance on any permanent fixes or recommended corrective steps
Clarification on whether Samsung is investigating a firmware update or service remedy
Have any other users confirm similar experiences or identify if a proven permeant fix exists?
I am also having the same issue and just searched solution and found this post. For the money we paid for these things, there needs to be a definitive fix. I first noticed while watching Avatar and thought maybe it was just from the movie. But then I noticed it with other movies, and now its really annoying me while watching Stranger Things. I turned off AI thinking maybe that was overcompensating, switched to standard mode, and its still the same effect.
I wish I'd found this post 7 hours ago, have literally just wasted a whole day trying to fix this as I was convinced it was a Windows HDR issue. I'd had no issues for a month since purchasing, but it started in the last week. Exactly as you describe - SDR content was looking a bit les vibrant and greyish with darker colours, HDR content had intense oversaturation and particularly noticeable when displaying people - orange-reddish skin, bright pink-peach lips, very blue eyes etc. Anything with vivid green just made the whole screen look like a watercolour or cartoon.
Before today, reinstalling my PC graphics card drivers and changing the HDMI port had fixed it, but it got stuck today and that wouldn't work. Literally ended up chaing every conceivable setting on the TV, Windows, and graphics card to try and fix it - even ended up installing Windows 11 as people had reported similar sounding issues on Win10 but said 11 fixed it. I'd been putting the upgrade off as I knew some of my programs aren't Win11 compatible - so imagine my fury after upgrading that the problem persisted.
Didn't realise pressing the power button on the controller was only standby and you have to hold down for a full power reset - instantly fixed it. Hopefully Samsung takes note as it seems a major issue and brought me close to a mental breakdown today lol
