I assume Samsung still has a shadow problem with their TVs. This is the 6th TV in a row that starts with a barely noticeable shadow, which slowly gets darker until the TV is useless

Five TVs in a row that you claim start with a shadow and then gets darker?
First of all what TVs are you buying
Secondly where are you buying them from
What are you doing with them?
And is it OLED?

It sounds like you're likely buying an edge-lit TV. Those aren't the best as far as backlighting goes, and you're also probably seeing DSE. I recommend going with FALD, Mini led or OLED. I mainly use the Samsung 8k QN990F right now and its stunning. But as far as it lasting, it should last forever, really. Heck, I've got an old-age Samsung TV that's like 12 years old, and it still works perfectly. So, five in a row, that seems like something's going wrong for you. You also might be doing your picture settings wrong. Hard to say when you don't show a photo or give any details, but I'd be glad to help if you'd like.

Here is the list of working TVs, the shadows so dark that they make the TVs useless.            All of the TVs that are x" ed out started having a light shadow that slowly gets darker and darker. Samsung has replaced 2 of the screens under warranty. That was like getting teeth pulled. They also replaced a power supply on one other TV. All the rest only lasted 2-3 years max.          We also have a 2011 40-inch that is by far the best TV we have ever bought . All of the TVs have plenty of space between them and the wall behind them. So heat is not the problem . This is and has been a ongoing problem with Samsung TVs for a while now. I am just trying to find out if they have fixed their problem and whether or not Samsung wants to try and keep me as a loyal customer. Something has to give here.

Honestly, I just think you're not a fan of the TVs, and I don't blame you. The UHD Crystal TVs are going to give you, and I'm just being honest, the worst performance out of any of Samsung's TVs that Samsung sells. But you also have to take into account they're a budget TV. What you want is to bump up to at the very least Q8 or Q9 4K TVs with FALD backlighting or Mini LED TVs or OLED. These typically are going to be around double the price or more, but trust me when I say it's worth every penny. When you buy a TV, look into the lighting type peak nit brightness, how many lighting zones, and the type of technology it uses. These things make a massive, massive difference in TVs. Also keep in mind that many of the higher-end TVs are not sold at Big Box retailers like Walmart Sam's Club or Costco check Samsung's website directly research and then find the best deal possible will help on the price they usually release TVs around March so the last year variations usually get cut in half in price and if you buy it obviously right when it comes out you're going to play a full premium also now is a good time this is pretty much the standard for all TV manufacturers budget TVs typically are budget TVs there's only going to get so good anyway I hope this information helps I'm just trying to be honest with you but I do wish you better luck in the future with any TV you choose

I agree with what your saying except the " I just think you're not a fan of the TVs .    I have purchased I thing 10 Samsung tvs in a row starting in 2011.  I was a big fan from 2011 until 2019.  Now I am going to need SAMSUNG to do something to convince me to stay a loyal customer. 2-3 years just ain't good enough for me to stay loyal. Our first Samsung is by far the best tv we have ever had and its 15 years old and still works perfect.

I just don't think they're a bright enough TV for you, and Edge-lit TVs are awful. Normal effects would appear to be defects, meaning they're all probably not even really completely broken. It's just that they start as a dim TV when they're new, and then through time, any type of lighting system starts to dim. Go a couple of years, and then you are where you are, unhappy with the TV. So, when you start with a really, really bright TV, 10 years in, and it's still really bright. It's less bright than day one, but there's still plenty of brightness to enjoy. That's why you've had so many TVs that you're unhappy with. As far as me, you're right, and I'm not trying to say this to be rude or arrogant; I'm just being honest. I wouldn't buy that type of TV for a hundred bucks, and honestly, I used to not be like that. I was the guy that saw a gigantic TV. As an example, I'd be at Sam's Club, and I'd see a big 85 or 75-inch TV for a thousand bucks, and I would be like, "Whoa, huge TV for that cheap! Throw it in the car!" And I would be excited. Once I got a top-tier TV and really learned about the differences in technology, as now I review tech, is when things changed for me. I guess it's like anything else in the world: when you get the finer things, it's hard to go back. But it was really a shock to me how much better and how much different the picture was: bright, vivid, less DSE, no dark zones. I mean, if you have a peak net brightness of 500 to maybe 700, then jump up to a top-tier TV, and it's 5,000. The TVs 500-nit to 1000-nits look broken to me anyway, and that's just because of what my eyes are used to. Unfortunately, as far as Samsung doing something for you, that would be awesome, and I hope they do, but we all know that's not the world we live in. I mean, if you think about it, you would think everything should have more than a one-year warranty, but they don't. They all come with one unless you get a bonus or an extended. That's because we live in that throwaway society. People used to buy one TV every 10-15 years. Now, I think the average is like three. So many things I would change about every industry for sure. Anyway, I've enjoyed chatting with you.
