Kitchen and Family HubHello,
Power went off in the middle of the night unknown for how long. Panel inside fridge is flashing C and 8. Temperature should be in F. Turned off for for about 8 minutes tried the reset info I found online did not work. Fridge is running and seems to be working. Any ideas and possible repair cost?
Thanks

Kitchen and Family HubA Samsung fridge with a flashing 8 C error code typically indicates an ice maker temperature sensor malfunction. This can be caused by a faulty sensor, a bad connection, or an issue with the ice maker's motor or defrost system. To troubleshoot, first, try resetting the refrigerator by unplugging it for 5 minutes. If the code persists, you will need to inspect the sensor and wiring for damage or loose connections and may need to replace the sensor or address a defrost system issue.
Its recommended to contact support and have it checked out.

Kitchen and Family HubI think you are correct the ice maker has been broken for a while, long story. But maybe with the power going off and the back on made the error code show? Anyway I could care less about repairing the ice maker. But if I leave it as is could there be any problems in the future?

Kitchen and Family HubUnsure but as long as the freezer and refrigerator is cooling I wouldn't worry about it. But I would recommend repairing it.
