Just changed the water filter on my Samsung Bespoke refrigerator and immediately noticed a leak. I was told the filter housing needs to be replacedโ€”without anyone even inspecting the unit. The quoted cost? Nearly $500.
This feels like a known issue and possibly something that should be covered under a recall, not an out-of-pocket repair. If this is a common failure, why are customers being asked to pay for what seems like a design flaw?
Has anyone else experienced this issue with their Samsung fridge? Would love to hear if others have dealt with the same problemโ€”or found a solution.
Samsung, do better.

There are some black rubber O rings on the filter make sure they are there! Mine has 3 if they are missing or not in the groove they will cause water to leak

This just happened to us as well. Installed the filter as recommended and one of the plastic star-headed pins broke which made water leak everywhere until I turned it off at the hookup. Looked online to try to order a replacement filter housing and they are out of stock everywhere with no ETA. Seems like a lot of people are having this same exact issue... Guess we'll just be without water on a 1 year old fridge for who knows how long. What a letdown. ๐Ÿ˜•

Is anyone going to help us with this.  Seems to be happening to a lot of people.

Having the same issue.  Water started leaking under veggie bins so we turned off water line.  Tried again after a few weeks of not fixing and reading about replacing the water filter and had no leak for 2 weeks, then started leaking again.  To determine if it was filter or not, turned back on water line and removed the filter.  No leaking.

Samsung is not "out here". This forum is peer-to-peer help and, as such, other users can only offer you suggestions on how to solve your issue.  For reports of defects, you need to contact Samsung directly.  If you want the issue addressed by Samsung, you must contact Samsung directly via phone or feedback.  With appliances, it's best to contact them via the service department.

I would also put my money on my previous statement (having had this problem myself at one point), of the filter not being inserted/seated correctly, since you are having this issue only since the filter was replaced.  If the filter goes in and turns without resistance, it is not in correctly.

Just replaced my filter and had a leak.   I was prepared to watch for it as 6 months ago I also had the same issue and wasted a filter (and they are not cheap) because I thought it was the filter.  I just found this complaint and wondering how many other people have this issue.   It should not be this difficult and messy (water everywhere) to replace a water filter.  I am very disappointed in Samsung quality.

I have the same problem with my  Samsung Bespoke fridge, which is just over 1 -year old.  How many complaints does it take for Samsung to do a recall?
