Hi everyone,

I’m running into an odd issue with my Samsung NE58K9500SG/AA range.

A couple of months ago, part of the control panel display stopped working. Specifically the display section that shows the time, oven temperature, and timer. All the buttons and functions still work fine; it’s just that this part of the display no longer shows anything.

Here’s the strange part: yesterday I decided to run the self-clean cycle (yes, I know that can sometimes cause more problems, but the range was already acting up). After the self-clean completed, the display was working perfectly again. Everything lit up and functioned as it should. Unfortunately, later that evening, about halfway through a preheat cycle, the display went out again in exactly the same way.

I did contact Samsung support and, yes, I’ve already tried cutting power to the unit for a while to reset it. Their only suggestion was to schedule a service technician - $150 just for the visit, not including any parts or labor.

Has anyone seen this before or know what might cause it? I’m wondering if it’s a loose connection, a failing display board, or something temperature-related. Any insights would be appreciated.
