Microwave display does not light up

I have a new Samsung Microwave ME11A7510DS. The display keypad panel does not light up and is VERY difficult to read. How do I correct this problem?

According to what I have read, that model doesn't have a backlit display.

Interesting...I have looked at reviews online.  Some people have posted pictures and their display DOES light up.  Other people have the same complaint of dark display.

And, Sumsung telephone support tells me my model's display does NOT light up.

But, Samsung text Messenger support heard my complaint and is sending out a technician to fix the problem.

There you go.  Very confusing. More to come.

I just bought this microwave and I am now fighting with Samsung for false advertisement because the display in the store has white writing on the display and the one I received is a dark charcoal color and you can not read it!

I had the same experience.  I talked to Samsung and it was unclear whether the display should "light up" or not.  Seems that some pictures online and in reviews did light up, and others did not.  Some reviews complained about not being able to read the display, and others did not.  Seems improbable to me that someone would write a review and not mention an unreadable display, so maybe theirs did light up.  Very confusing.  I took my Samsung back to Lowes and got an LG.
