Kitchen and Family HubHas anyone come up with a solution to keep ice from being pushed out the back of the trays when scooping ice with the tray slid forward on a 4 door bespoke refrigerator. I scoop from back to front for myself, but my kids don’t have that concept down yet, so I am wondering if someone has successfully come up with a way to put a back raised wall or extension on the back of the ice trays?

Kitchen and Family HubI’m with you Maddogvol!! Today, Jan 3, 2025 means we’ve been dealing with all of the ice dropping behind the trays for 365 days. It’s just as irritating now as it was on day one, but your post is the first reference to the same issue in all that time. I called Samsung in January of 2024 but they honestly had no idea how to help because they had no history on the design of the ice maker.
Your post was two weeks ago with zero response from Samsung? I don’t have high hopes for resolution now, but I’ll try calling again anyway. I may see if I can find someone write a program and 3D print some kind of a snap on wall to keep the ice in the trays. I’m over cleaning up after every use. It’s quite a price tag for such an overlooked detail, especially when it’s used every day in Arizona.

Kitchen and Family HubYeah I figured there would be more of us for sure! Looking at it, I don’t hold out much hope to get a higher back wall solution. It has to clear the ice maker and doesn’t leave a lot of room unless a fabrication hangs from the ice maker itself.
