Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.
Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Home TheaterSame issue here. I was able to get in and out of the Shop Mode but other than that โTV ARCโ is the only option showing (and it does not work Okay as input as there is no sound produced). Pressing Volume up quickly shows the last Volume set but goes back to "TV ARC". On/Off on the remote works laggy when trying to turn OFF. "BYE" displays for quite long (10 seconds)
I tried the firmware upgrade as described here (thinking redoing it will fix the problem)
The version was probably the same one that caused it (1020 from Mar 10th 2025)
Nothing happened after placing the USB drive into the slot.
Talked to the support and they recommended video call to trouble shoot. Having a background in IT management, personally I would try to install older firmware if I can find it. The fact that 2 different USB drives I prepared (FAT32 and NTFS formatting) did not initiate a manual upgrade does not leave me much hope. I will keep everyone posted as you are probably on TV speakers now. Btw despite "TV ARC" showing and TV sending the signal properly (Anynet+ on, cable Okay) the soundbar no longer produces any sound.

Home TheaterSame situation down to the letter. I know manual says USB update won't start if the firmware is the same, but since UPD doesn't appear at all, I don't know if they release a new one if it will even go into update mode considering nothing else works.

Home TheaterDo we have a known pattern at this moment? I updated my q990d and my 2 music frames via USB on Monday, and so far so good. No issues at all. Is this only causing problems when the update is received OTA?

Home TheaterYes seems to be only OTA, Several forums people say indeed manual update all was still ok. But also some people got in via ota and are also still working. So I think Samsung quickly fixed it in the same name 1020.7 but was too late for most of us...

Home TheaterSame issue here in Ireland since yesterday. Seems completely insane that not only is there's no response from Samsung on this, but they still havent take down the broken firmware. They're not even trying to stop the bleeding here.
I spoke to their customer support yesterday and was told that my only option was to send it off for repair. I'm hesitant to do that because I don't have a box to put it in or know where I could even get one. Hoping there will be a new firmware published to fix this but it seems increasingly unlikely.

Home TheaterIn the UK, Samsung will send a Repair company to collect the bar and repair it. Ask them to do the same for you. It is their responsibility under UK and EU consumer regulations. If there is an issue, the retailer you bought it from is fully responsible to act on your behalf under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK, I do not know what the regulation is called in the EU but it is just as effective.

Home Theater@mattd1 , totally agree with you.
if theyโre expecting customers to send new items that are less than a year old. And only perhaps to get their goods in a worse state. Then they will have bloodshed on their hands and people suing them till Kingdom come.
