Pretty much what the title says.

I bought a Samsung Q930D about two months ago and it is constantly crashing on me for no reason I can determine. When I say "crash" I mean We'll be watching/playing something and the TV will go dark, because the soundbar is connected via HDMI Out and the soundbar has just randomly died. No  sound, no lights, no response whatsoever. And I'll need to give it a good 30s - 1min for it to turn back even respond to remote clicks or turn on again.

There's seemingly no rhyme or reason. It does it with my PS5 when playing games and watching content on various apps, with our Apple TV watching content from all kinds of apps. I'm pretty sure it did it with Live TV (digital arial) once, but I can't 100% remember. Sometimes it's fine for days on end and then other times it does it multiple times in an hour.

I haven't tried music via WiFi or Bluetooth really, so can't say there.

I have tried a different HDMI cable. I've tried turning off CEC/auto power mode. The TV is an older LG model, so it's ARC, not eARC. There was also an "auto sound" mode enabled on the TV that I turned off. None of these made a difference.

I don't have SpaceFit, Active Voice Amplifier, or any of those fancy settings turned on. As far as I understand it you need a newer Samsung TV for that to work anyway. I've barely tweaked any of the settings, except for upping the Channel Level of the Rear and Rear Top a little. The Audio Sync is also adjusted a tiny bit (50ms) due to some of the Apple content coming through a bit laggy. The only other thing I'll toggle from time to time is the "Voice enhancement" when some shows have particularly loud music and action, but soft voices.

I've also tried a factory reset and linking my SmartThings App from scratch. I've made sure it is updated to the latest firmware (106 at time of writing) and I even manually cycled the speakers to check their update status and they're all up to date according to the display. ( All of them reported as "OK".)

It seems to me like it's certain sounds that trigger it. Like sometimes I'll have an issue with a particular video on YouTube and it'll keep crashing on that video. Then when I play a different video/content it's fine. I have once or twice tried skipping back 30s to catch what was said, but then it'll crash in the same spot, although at this point this is a bit anecdotal. I need to find time to try and repeatedly play the same section of something that makes it crash to see if I can "reliably" reproduce this. Then perhaps I can play with various settings and see if something fixes it. But this is why I suspect it's certain kinds of sounds it doesn't like.

My setup: HDMI Out going to ARC input on LG65" TV Smart UHD with WebOS. (2017 model, don't have the exact code on me.) Apple TV 4K is plugged directly into HDMI IN on soundbar. PS5 is plugged into HDMI port in TV.

At first we had the TV connected to the HDMI IN port and the Apple TV and PS5 connected to the TV, but I got all kinds of horrible clicks and crashes whenever I tried playing Dolby Atmos or any kind of surround sound content via the Apple TV. Plugging the Apple TV directly into the soundbar enabled an "Enable DolbyAtmos" audio setting on the Apple TV for me, and it's been *much* smoother, except for these random crashes.

I'm at my wit's end with this thing. It's an expensive and supposedly flagship soundbar (bar is the same as the 990D as far as I understand, only the satellites differ) and it should "just" work. It works great and sounds great, aside from randomly crashing. Not a premium experience. At first I thought it was still the Apple TV, but then the PS5 should be fine and it's definitely not. I'm about to to contact the retailer to try and get a replacement.

Please if this can be fixed in firmware, or if someone can tell me it's hardware and I need to organise a replacement, I would be so grateful.
