Friday 9th August 2025. All of the sudden, with no apparent reason, my so-far-perfectly-working Samsung soundbar HW-Q800D has disappeared from Smarthings. The WiFi and Bluetooth don´t work anymore. The WiFi status remains disconnected full time. Also the bluetooth. The device is undetectable. The bluetooth pair remote button doesn´t work either. Firmware update via USB hasn´t worked. Factory reset neither. Unplug and re plug the main power neither.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Home TheaterSame here, q800d not working all of a sudden. Not showing up on Bluetooth, WiFi, nothing. I’ve also had 2 new one connect boxes with the 77” S95D. Samsung’s technical department told me to pay at a TV repair shop within warranty. Needless to say I didn’t. Now I tell everyone that will listen, Reddit, forums etc not to buy Samsung products. My bother in-law co owns one of the biggest YouTube tech channels and is now considering advising consumers to avoid Samsung products.

It’s a strange coincidence that their products seem to fail or have a reduction in quality when a new line is about to be released. My bother in-law co owns one of the biggest YouTube tech channels and is now considering launching an investigation into some of these strange practices. I for one will likely never buy another Samsung products again.
