Home TheaterI've had the Q930D soundbar connected to my QN90C TV for over a year without issue.
This week, I noticed that I couldn't use some of the sound features, like Q-symphony or surround. Of course, both of these options worked without any issue for the past year. Whenever I attempt to choose the option to use Q-symphony through the TV, a pop-up displays "Q-Symphony is not configured."
The Soundbar didn't disappear from my SmartThings app, but it displayed it as "offline" even though the soundbar was ON. My TV remains there. Whenever I tried to reconnect via Bluetooth, the option simply remained as "BT" instead of "BT ready" or "BT Pairing", even after the hard reset of holding down Volume + and Volume - for 10 seconds.
I've done some digging on old threads, and apparently this was a common issue that might be fixed through disconnecting the power cords and letting the system quiet for a couple of days. It didn't work.
Samsung assistance requested a video call, where over 39 minutes we attempted every option, including a factory reset of the TV and the Soundbar. The problem persisted.
They asked me to send the soundbar to a local Samsung repair. This appears to be a very similar "handshake" problem that plagued Samsung soundbars last year. I am quite disappointed that the thing simply bricked itself out of the blue.
What now? I have seen some news about Samsung's director stating they would repair affected soundbars free of charge.
Has anyone had any experience with this?

Home TheaterA user on another forum (Reddit) stated that the same thing during the same time frame occurred to his soundbar of the same model.
