I have the HW-Q7000B Soundbar an have had no problems with it using it with my old TV which did'nt have ARC support so i was using my firestick plugged into the input HDMI and the output HDMI into my TV. I decided to move with the times and upgrade, I chose the SONY BRAVIA KD-43X75WL. but now i have a problem. Once first connected to the ARC/eARC port with a compatible HDMI cable the volume changed fine but after five or so changes the volume will go up but it wont fully go down to zero. I've tried power cycling both the TV and Soundbar, Factory resetting both TV and Soundbar and changing the HDMI cable. Also my TV has had two software updates which i was hoping would fix the issue. I have looked in the downloads section for an Upgrade File but there is only one file and its the same as i have on my Soundbar so it wont update. Is there any way of forcing the update file to flash the unit.

Apart from that i'm stuck for ideas, can anyone help me please. Thanks in advance.!!

@soDAFFY Have you tried Mute instead of trying to get volume to 0?

Sorry, to clarify i can turn the volume up and down on the Soundbar with the Soundbar remote but im having trouble with the TV remote. but everything works fine when i used a Sony soundbar. There's something wrong with the Soundbar.

Update: I borrowed a Hitachi tv which has an ARC port and the TV works fine in controlling the volume on the Soundbar. Looks like there is a compatability problem between the TV and Soundbar. Looks like i need a firmware update to solve this issue.
