I have the Samsung HW K550 sound bar. Can I add to rear plug in wireless speakers for a surround sound to this sound bar? If so, what speakers would work best?

This unit is compatible with the SWA-8000S. It is no longer available on Samsung.com, I would recommend checking other retailers.
