Hey everyone,

I was curious if any of you have tried downloading games from third-party app stores like ScarletiOSStore instead of the Galaxy Store or Play Store. I’ve seen a few stores offering exclusive or early-access titles that aren’t officially available yet, but I’m a bit hesitant about the safety and performance side of it.

Do these third-party game stores actually work well on Samsung phones, or do they cause issues with updates, performance, or security? Also, are there any specific stores you’ve had good (or bad) experiences with?

Just trying to figure out if it’s worth exploring or if I should stick with the official sources. Would love to hear what others think.

I personally have good experiences with F-droid but can't recommend it for games. I'd say look at the reputation of the app store. Open-source is typically a good sign. If you start downloading .apk's just keep in mind that you need to use an anti-virus as an extra layer of security. Unfortunately, no service is immune malware so tread lightly. I have had good experiences with UptoDown as well. They'll have more options for you. I use VirusTotal's online gui for scanning most of the time before installing.
