Hey everyone,

I was curious if any of you have tried downloading games from third-party app stores like ScarletiOSStore instead of the Galaxy Store or Play Store. Iโ€™ve seen a few stores offering exclusive or early-access titles that arenโ€™t officially available yet, but Iโ€™m a bit hesitant about the safety and performance side of it.

Do these third-party game stores actually work well on Samsung phones, or do they cause issues with updates, performance, or security? Also, are there any specific stores youโ€™ve had good (or bad) experiences with?

Just trying to figure out if itโ€™s worth exploring or if I should stick with the official sources. Would love to hear what others think.

I personally have good experiences with F-droid but can't recommend it for games. I'd say look at the reputation of the app store. Open-source is typically a good sign. If you start downloading .apk's just keep in mind that you need to use an anti-virus as an extra layer of security. Unfortunately, no service is immune malware so tread lightly. I have had good experiences with UptoDown as well. They'll have more options for you. I use VirusTotal's online gui for scanning most of the time before installing.

I agree with the above precautions but I've also gotten glitches n issues from the Google playstore I do download apps n games from 3rd party stores and honestly have never gotten any viruses or malware from the ones I us regularly the only issue I've ever encountered was the app or game I wanted to download n install was that the app or game wasn't compatible with my device which is what I get in the Google playstore as well my OS is too new like Red Dead Redemption in Google play store it's not compatible with my OS so it says but here i go to HappyMod.cloud and we'll the version they had wasn't the latest so I go to Uptodown-android.en.uptodown.com and bam it's there but not the latest so go to AN1.com and get the latest apk and download it n GOD it's a huge app but it works just fine on my incompatible device.
