Galaxy WatchThe support for all Tizen watches has been ended. They are dead. They will no longer connect to your phone and not reconnect once they have been disconnected. By December 31, even connected watches will likely disconnect. Anything below the watch 4 is unusable. You can see the announcement by going to the discover page of the members app, hitting the megaphone icon on the top right and tapping the "notice of content support termination" dated 9/30. Sorry, but it's time for an upgrade.

Galaxy WatchSince the operating system has been discontinued and content is no longer being created for it, you can consider it broken or damaged. The Watch 2 is what, 10 years old now? I'm surprised the battery is still good. As for phones, even when they no longer are eligible for operating system updates, they will still work, and apps that don't require a higher Android version to run will still work.
Ten years is about the average life span of any electronic or electric device, but if a company discontinues an operating system and decides not to allocate resources to supporting it, that is the way business is done.

Galaxy WatchWell, the good news is that the WearOS watches will be in service softwarewise a lot longer, as WearOS is a Google product. Tizen was Samsung's own OS, but if you can't get developers to create content for your OS, it becomes unviable.
