Watch 8 App loading error

I keep getting ..."not connected to network" error when trying to load some apps from phone (24 Ultra) to watch 8. (Both Bluetooth active and connected to same network as phone.

 

Anyone else getting this error - is there a working around

What do you mean by "trying to load"? You cannot open apps from the phone on the watch unless the watch has a companion app. You cannot transfer aops from the phone to the watch. You have to download companion apps from the play store. When you get a notification from an app that's only on your phone and you want to see the whole notification, there is usually an option to "show on phone", which will open the corresponding app on the phone, not the watch.
