Can someone help me??

I have Verizon service.

They sold me both an S25+ and a Galaxy Watch 7, knowing they were for a 12 year old and that we wanted to set them up with parental controls and numbershare.

Apparently, after over 20 hours of Tech Coach, no one in Verizon can get the devices provisioned properly and setup. Samsung support hasn't been much more helpful either. Everyone just reads from scripts and makes your perform the same steps endlessly.

If the problem is the way Verizon provisions accounts, it seems like the first mistake is choosing Verizon as a provider.  Although, I am sure you are not the only person with Verizon who has ever wanted to set up parental controls and family link.  if you tried to set this all up in a store, the staff there may not be knowledgeable enough on it. Most of the time it's set up a phone, set up a watch and shove you out the door. Have you been on the phone with Verizon tech support? If it could not be done, they should have told you it could not be done, and you wouldn't have spent 20+ hours trying to get it done. For the record, I do not believe it can't be done. They may have their own plan that they want to sell you. Verizon is known for disabling some services and then trying to sell you their own, similar service.

I think you're best bet will be to change your child's account status with Verizon, then set up number share. You'll still be able to monitor activity on the phone, but only will be able to monitor things like location on the watch. Sorry we couldn't fix this 😞

Everything that I'm seeing online says you can monitor both the phone and the watch in family link. I'd try changing your child's account status in the Verizon app, then set up their number sync from there. Are you specifically having issues with numbershare? Adding both devices to family link? Or both?

Ok, let's start with the family link. Does the child already have a Google account on the S25?

When you tried setting up the phone on family link, did you download that family link app on the child's phone and run through these steps?1744138937879.jpg

Yes. The other issue I forgot to mention is that no matter what Verizon did, they couldn't get the cellular service to work on the watch.

I was able to see both the phone and the watch in Family Link. If the watch wasn't set up as a kids watch, I couldn't track it.

If they could not get cellular service to work on the watch, they should have given you another watch. Verizon provisions watches all the time, there is no excuse for them not being able to do it, save the watch being defective. The technology was not invented yesterday. Now they are charging your plan for an unusable watch. Even if you got it "free", the LTE add-on plan is not and you are locked into them for 2 years.
