My watch is counting distance and calories, but missing the steps. It shows I've walked for 4 miles with ~500 calories but no steps. It's been this way for the last 2 days. I tried restarting, but that didn't solve the problem. Checking if anyone else saw this and if there is a solution

Another weird recording. Walked for an hour, but the step counting is low , and the graph is plotted for 30 minutes only.

Your device will not detect steps while you are walking on a "non- movable device, respectively to the Earth rotation..." meaning you have to be outside walking...same as me doing cycling with a trainer attached, going nowhere...will detect calories and heartbeat, but no mileage as "i am not traveling anywhere..."

Not true. I use my Watch Ultra when I'm on the indoor treadmill and it logs my steps and estimates the mileage. Different on an indoor bike trainer as your stationary so the watch can only measure your HR.

Thanks for the comments. I've worn all generations of Samsung watches, and all of them detect walking on the treadmill and count steps. I saw a software update pending on my watch, and after the update, the issue seems to have gone away. The steps count is working while walking on the treadmill.

Mines shows steps when I'm on the treadmill. Maybe check to see if your Samsung Health app is updated in the Samsung store. Also if you go to your watch data screen do you see the step count?
