Good job Samsung , you have gained a new enemy for ruining the watches....i absolutely hate everything about the new UI 8 update , it made the Facer Watchfaces completely unusable and the whole entire look of the interface sucks it's like a child designed it , my Watch 5 looks TERRIBLE now i don't like the new update at all.
EDIT: i have found a fix for the Facer Watchface app on the watches, i had to clear the cache data in both the phone app and on my watch then uninstall it from my watch and reinstall it and let it do a small update and that solved the issue now im able to use Facer again on my watch. Although i hate the look of the One UI 8 update i guess i can handle it since i have Facer back again because i can at least use a watchface that looks good unlike the hideous interface that is now on it from UI 8.

Oh I see so simply remove the entire Facer app and put it back on. Interesting. Well right now my favorite face it working but not through Facer it seems but added Individually. Will leave it alone for now.

On my Galaxy Watch 4, One UI 8 broke custom Watchmaker watch faces. I already converted the watch face to the new required format, but the gyro effect still does not work. On top of that, custom fonts with borders are broken, and certain update mechanisms that previously worked only at full brightness no longer function as expected.

Before this update, everything worked fine and battery life was still excellent, especially considering the watch is nearly 4 years old. This update feels completely unnecessary and only introduced regressions instead of improvements. Stop doing that Samsung.

It is frustrating to see long-standing, working setups degraded with no real benefit for the user.

You need to contact the developer of your watchmaker app to make sure that their app and the faces produced by it are compatible with the update.  Compatibility is *always* the onus of the developer.

Did the Facer app come back.to the way it was prior to the update. I have numerous watch faces under "favorites" I can no longer use because of the upgrade. Is that fixed when you did as described?? OMG this has been driving me crazy. I can use the Facer app just not the watch faces I liked prior (well a lot of them. ..90%)

App updates are incumbent on the app developer.  You will have to get in touch with the developer of the facer app.   You cannot use the faces you used prior because the machine language was changed and now all watch faces have to follow the guidelines that GOOGLE set in WearOS6.0, this is not a Samsung issue, it's a Google and the developer issue.

I did. They told me the complete opposite. They said Samsung &.Google have a agreement with them and its up to them that it works

Still up to the developer to use the right hooks.

Yes , i got it working again. Just follow what i did and it should work again for you too , i have 100 or so Watchfaces in my watchbox which i was really unhappy about not being able to use then as i messed with the software and did some online searching for bug fixes i was able to get my app working again , there will be some Watchfaces that aren't usable because they're not made to work with the new UI 8 but with some time the people that make them will probably make new ones.
