Is there something I can do to tell my watch to back off? I went from 17k average steps daily to barely 1k and it will be like this for the month. Ive been in snd out of surgery all week and finally got back to my watch and its being very judgey. I will be like this fkr at least a month... I want to keep wearing my watch but this constant comparison and egging me on means I may take it off and once I break a habit its hard to get back on track.

I would love a way to tell it I have temporary goals and that this month simply does not count while still tracking the few steps I can take , energy etc. I just went from elite level to elderly overnight and my watch seems upset by this. I should not have to manage my watches emotions.

While I don't believe there is any kind of "surgery mode" or "take a break" feature in the health app, you can go into Daily activity > set targets and temporarily adjust your goals to meet your current physical abilities.

@Matt02150 I think I'm stating the obvious, but you can completely ignore this information from the watch. It is not intended to be judgy. It is simply telling you the facts. You are the one who decides how to use those facts.

Change your targets, turn off the notifications and activity reminders, mark your calendar with the dates of your recovery. Changing your targets might best suit your needs, as it will help mark your recovery progress.
