Galaxy WatchI'm really disappointed with the latest software update pushed to the Galaxy Watch 6 (installed on June 23, 2025). Since the update, battery performance has significantly worsened.
🔋 Before the update:
- I used to charge my watch once every 2 days, even with Always-On Display enabled and moderate usage.
⚠️ After the update:
- Now I’m having to charge it twice a day, sometimes even earlier depending on use.
- Battery drain is happening even when the watch is idle.
- AOD alone is eating up around 11.8%, which seems unusually high.
- I checked the battery stats — nothing abnormal other than the watch OS and basic services consuming more than expected.
🧪 What I tried:
- Cleared cache via recovery mode after the update ✅
- Limited background activity where possible ✅
- Reduced watch face animations ✅
Still, no improvement.
🔧 Update Details:
- One UI Watch Version: 6.0
- Version: R945USQS1BYE9
- Security Patch: May 1, 2025
📢 Samsung, please take this seriously.
This watch was rock solid before, and now battery life has become a daily chore. It kills the convenience that a smartwatch is supposed to offer. We need a fix urgently — whether it's a rollback option or a quick patch to stabilize power usage.
Until then, I can't recommend this update to anyone relying on consistent battery life.
