Galaxy WatchAm I the only one frustrated by the number of "Couldn't perform action. Music not playing." errors when trying to start audio on the currently running audio player on my phone. I am using a Galaxy Watch 7 running the latest update of OneUI 8 running both the Basic Dashboard watchface and the Ultra Info Board watchface. I have been using the Basic Dashboard watchface for many years, first on my Galaxy Watch Active 2 and now on my Galaxy Watch 7 connected to a Galaxy S24+. I run five different audio players on my phone and it happens on all of them. (I only run one player at a time, and ensure the background service is cleared before launching a different player.) I have not yet detected a pattern on what causes the failure. It started with the update to OneUI 8 a few months ago. I thought it might be the Ultra Info Board watchface I tried, as it has eight controls on the watchface. I switched back to Basic Dashboard and have the same problem.

Galaxy WatchJust to be certain I understand what you're asking, do you mean play audio from files located on my watch? If so, no, I have not tried that. I have only used my watch as a slave to my phone (it is Bluetooth only, not LTE). I use the watch as a convenient way to turn audio on and off while running, hiking, or snowboarding, or just stopping a sermon or lecture to take notes or respond to someone, as it is far easier than digging my phone out of my pocket. Audio stop/start from the watch face (and from the audio control app) worked very reliably before the release of OneUI 8.

Galaxy WatchI have the media player widget installed. I haven't conducted detailed test, but watchface stop/start control seems to stop working after I pause (stop) the audio from the watchface, then while it is paused, another phone function uses the audio, like a notification sound. After that, the watchface audio control gives me the error message. I usually must go to my phone to restart audio. After that, the watchface control works fine until that same series of events occurs again.
